Looking for something fun and educational to take home for your child?

The alamo and Art in History have teamed up to provide two projects that allow you to take home a piece of history. Each project comes with paint, sponges, brushes, palettes and step by step painting instructions.

This project is a replica of a Mexican Chocolate Pot that was unearthed in an archaelogical dig on the grounds of the Alamo. A chocolate pot was used for making and drinking hot beverages.

In the classroom, this project explores the Texas Revolution and its historic origins from 1803-1845. It can be used in conjunction with lessons on the influences of Latin American cultures, Texas Revolution art, or as part of a greater study of United States or World History.
