The name Clara Carmack evolved into C.C..
C.C. entertains visitors and roams the grounds at will. It is said she protects The Alamo by ridding it of rodents and other small intruders. Travis, Gregorio Esparza and Toribio Losoya-fell to Santa Anna and the Mexican troops. Original records of a diary kept be a Mexican soldier state that after the battle, a cat was found roaming the premises. Like the brave Texians, the cat was also killed.
